Care Committee
Tikkun Olam (World Repair) has become synonymous with how the Jewish world feels about social action and the pursuit of social justice
One of the key foundations of our community is the Care Committee and the team of volunteers certainly represent the essential values of Tikkun Olam.
The work they do includes: birthday calls, Yahrzeit commemorations, visits to the ill, frail, elderly or isolated. Members also assist the bereaved, help the elderly with lifts to functions or medical appointments and provide advice and referrals for those in need of financial aid.
The rabbi supports the committee with visits and psycho-social support where needed. These volunteers are also responsible for outreach beyond the Beit Emanuel community. Their compassion and care for our congregants remains invaluable.
