We’ve been approached by a number of people regarding the possibility of holding somewhat more advanced Hebrew classes, with more of an emphasis on conversational Hebrew rather than the class offered as part of the ITJ course. In order to meet this demand, we will be offering Café Ivrit course at Beit Emanuel. The course will consist of 10 lessons, costing R1,000, payable in advance. It will be held on Wednesday evenings from 18h30 to 19h30 (i.e. after the basic Hebrew class). Course notes will be provided. If you’d like a taste of what Café Ivrit will offer, please come along to our open hour/trial lesson, on Wednesday, 20 July 2016 at 19h00 in Classroom 1 (Carmit’s Classroom). Café Ivrit will be offered to both members and non-members, Jewish and non-Jewish. (We understand that the Morris Rutstein/SAZF Hebrew Ulpan will no longer be held at Yeshiva College, and we believe that Café Ivrit will go a long way towards filling that gap.) Please contact CARMIT VERREYNE on 072 146 0359 firstname.lastname@example.org for further details.
