Religion School Enrolments 2014
The Religion School at Beit Emanuel was established to provide an education in Progressive Judaism for the children of members. The curriculum includes teaching in both Jewish Studies and Hebrew.
While preparation for Bar and Bat Mitzvah is one of the key goals of the school, its purpose is equally to provide a basic and functional knowledge of both current and traditional Jewish values and practices. Classes are held on Monday afternoons between 4.00 p.m. and 6.00 p.m., with terms corresponding broadly to those followed by government schools.
