Shabbat Shuvah at Temple Israel

Temple Israel Hillbrow invites you to join them on Friday, 21 September at 6 p.m. for a magical Shabbat Shuvah service and dinner. Shabbat Shuvah literally means “Sabbath of Return,” but it is also a play on the phrase “Shabbat Teshuva” (Sabbath of Repentance). It is the Shabbat that occurs between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and is a time for reflection leading up to the atonement of Yom Kippur.
A donation of R160.00 per head would be most welcome, however, if this is not affordable, a smaller donation will also be acceptable.
Transport can be arranged if necessary.
RSVP: Reeva Forman 011 482 1570/083 228 7777
Renee 011 642 1514 (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
