Join the Interfaith Iftar-Havdalah next Saturday

Join us for an interfaith Iftar-Havdalah with members of the Muslim and Jewish communities.
Date: Saturday, 11 August 2012 ; Time: 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Venue: Beit Emanuel Courtyard Area
We request a contribution of R30 for the catering, which will be halal and kosher.
The evening will include a learning session conducted by leaders from the respective communities.
Iftar is the evening meal which marks the breaking of the Muslim fast in Ramadan.
Havdalah is a religious ceremony that marks the symbolic end of the Jewish Shabbat and ushers in the new week.
