The Beit Emanuel Choir CD has finally been produced and is on sale now at the office.
For years, members and other well-wishers have been telling us how wonderful the Beit Emanuel Choir is, and asking why we don’t put out a CD. Well, it’s finally happened! Following the very successful “From Bimah to Broadway” Choir Concert late last year, we had the offer of a sponsorship to produce a Choir CD. The deadline to lay down the tracks was February, as our tenor, Don Boroughs, would be returning to the US sometime during that month.
Several months of intensive work followed to produce the Choir CD (also entitled “From Bimah to Broadway”). The CD highlights our regular choir members at their very best (including the last gigs featuring Don), arrangements by Choir Director Avi Kanar, and all the numbers that formed part of the original Choir Concert.
The recording of the Master CD was made possible by a generous donation from Lyonell Fliss, while the finished product you will (hopefully) hold in your hands was designed and duplicated (both cover and CD) by Lesley Hudson and Cut to Black Media, at no cost to Beit Emanuel. Thank you Lyonell and Lesley!
You can purchase your copy of the CD for R120 through the synagogue office, 011 646 6170 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
P.S. The first printing of the CD sleeve does contain some typos, which will be corrected in future editions.
