A farewell and thank you from Don Boroughs in chilly USA

Now that I am resettled in chilly Washington, DC, I feel compelled to write a note of thanks to the congregation for all of your warm wishes and blessings, and for genuinely making me feel appreciated. Beit Emanuel has welcomed me from the day I arrived, and it has been a pleasure making music among people who are so appreciative.

It was always satisfying working under Avi, who is not only very talented, but also has the rare combination of always striving for improvement in the choir while still being prepared to shrug his shoulders and smile when songs don’t come off as they should. I am blessed to count the other seven members of the choir as friends; they are kind and good people, every one.

Shabbat Shalom
