WEDNESDAY 23 SEPTEMBER – 10.00 a.m. – Yom Kippur Morning Service -Shul – 1.00 p.m. – Break during which Parallel Shiurim will be held in the Library & the Boardroom – (See separate article for details.) Afternoon service resumes 3.45 p.m. in the Garden – Yizkor Service – from 5.15 p.m. – Shul – Neilah Service from 5.45 p.m. – Shul. Fast ends 6.35 p.m. Refreshments for breaking of fast in front of the Shul.
FRIDAY 25 SEPTEMBER Kabbalat Shabbat Service – 06.00 p.m. – Synagogue – followed by a Kiddush in the Hall.
SATURDAY 26 SEPTEMBER Shabbat Morning service – 09.30 a.m. – Garden/Slome- followed by a Kiddush
JTALK – 11.15 a.m. – This week WHAT IS A PROGRESSIVE SHABBAT? Prof. David Bilchitz will provide another of his well-researched and thought-provoking discussions on religion, this time to provide the intellectual background to Progressive Jewry’s Shabbat Experience..
TALMUD STUDY – 12.45 – 02.00 p.m. – Tractate Berachot, using the new Koren Hebrew/English edition of the Talmud
SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER– 6.00 p.m. – Erev Sukkot Interfaith Service – Shul – followed by a light festive meal in the Sukkah – see attached flyer.
