Don’t miss Limmud, festival of Jewish learning

The 7th annual Limmud SA Johannesburg Conference will take place at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways on the 9,10,11 August 2013
There is truly something for everyone at Limmud, from young to old, from religion to tikun olam, from politics to meditation, from history to dance, from literature to music. Limmud has become one of the most anticipated events on the communal calendar. Be sure to be at Limmud this year, be it for the whole weekend, or the Friday, and Sunday.
The sessions run from early in the morning till late at night, and there is choice every hour. There will also be Progressive services on the Friday night and Saturday morning. There are also crèche facilities and a Young Limmud programme, with activities run by our own Netzer Madrichim.
International presenters include:
Shoshana Boyd Gelfand is currently Director of JHub in London, and founder of the “Jewish TedX”- J-DOV. She previously served as Chief Executive of the British Reform Movement and Vice-President of the Wexner Heritage Foundation in NYC.
Aviva Halamish is a historian and professor at the Open University and president of the Association for Israel Studies. She has written and taught on the subjects of Zionism and Jewish immigration. She has written on the history of the State of Israel and Holocaust survivors.
We will bring you more updates about Limmud over the next few weeks.
