Suitable mikveh now available to those who wish to use it

Mikveh/Tevilah
A t the time that some of our members completed their conversion, the SAUPJ did not have access to a mikveh, the ritual pool we use for, among other things, immersing new converts as part of the process of becoming Jewish.
Although many Progressive communities don’t insist on this ritual, in South Africa we would like to offer it. A purpose-built mikveh will ultimately be constructed, but in the meantime, we have found a suitable pool. If you would like to perform this ritual and receive a certificate of Tevilah, we can offer you the opportunity at a location in Craighall Park on Sunday, 18 March 2012.
Kindly inform Rabbi Ash or the Office, by email, and you will receive full details. rabbi@beitemanuel.co.za or ilana@beitemanuel.co.za
